The purpose of this Privacy policy and personal data policy at Dr Holm App ApS is to provide information on how we collect, protect and process your personal data. We take personal data privacy and security seriously and are committed to complying with all applicable personal data protection laws.

What is data protection law?

Data protection law gives people the right to control how their “personal information” is used. When DrHolmApp collects and uses personal information this is covered and regulated by data protection law.

DrHolmApp will always comply with the applicable legislation relating to personal data (in Denmark, the Danish Act on Processing of Personal Data No.429 of 31 May 2000) and will ensure that where personal information is collected and used this is done in accordance with the law.

The purposes and legal basis for the processing of personal data

We may use, store, and process personal information to:

Provide, understand, improve, and develop DrHolmApp.
Evaluate the effect of our service, advice and treatment.
Create and maintain a trusted and safer environment (such as to comply with our legal obligations and ensure compliance with DrHolmApp policies).
Provide, personalize, measure, and improve our advertising and marketing.

The basis for the treatment is to be able to fulfill the agreement on advice, counseling or healthcare professional treatment based on specific health information. Marketing of other offers, including courses, will require you to consent to it in the app or elsewhere.

Categories of personal data

We potentially process the following categories of personal information about you (not necessarily all data, but just the data you provide to us):

Common personal information: Name, gender, date of birth, contact details and bank details.
Special Categories: We record and store your answers to our questions in the online consultations, including lifestyle, health and activity information.

Recipients or categories of recipients

We share your personal information with the following recipients:

Web developers: The information we register when you create a profile at the DrHolmApp web application is hosted by our external web developer. When you sign up for our newsletter, your email address will be registered with our web developer. A data processing agreement has been made with our web developer, which is domiciled in Denmark. Data is stored in a professional hosting center within the EU.

We may also share aggregated information (information about our users that we combine together so that it no longer identifies or references an individual user) and other anonymized information for regulatory compliance, industry and market analysis, research, demographic profiling, marketing and advertising, and other business purposes.

Storing your personal information

We keep your data for 5 years after the subscription ends for the purpose of allowing you, as a subscriber, to access your previously registered data if you wish to restore your profile. Then the data is anonymized for use in evaluation, quality control or statistics. We will prioritize to protecting all data at all times and to deleting information when they are no longer necessary to document or develop our activities.

Withdrawing Consent and Restriction of Processing

If we are processing your personal information based on your consent you may withdraw your consent at any time by sending a communication to DrHolmApp (contact details listed above) specifying which consent you are withdrawing. Please note that the withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing activities based on such consent before its withdrawal.

Your rights

According to the General Data Protection Regulation, you have a number of rights in relation to the processing of information about you.

Obtain access to the personal data held about you.
Ask for incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete personal data to be corrected.

Request the restriction of the processing of your personal data in specific cases.
Receive your personal data in a machine-readable format and send it to another controller (‘data portability’).
