The purposes and legal basis for the processing of personal data

We process your personal data with the following purposes:

  • To provide, understand, improve, and develop our services.

  • To evaluate the effect of our service, advice and treatment.

  • To create and maintain a trusted and safer environment (such as to comply with our legal obligations and ensure compliance with company policies).

  • To provide, personalize, measure, and improve our advertising and marketing.

The basis for the data processing is to be able to fulfill the agreement on advice, counseling or healthcare professional treatment based on specific health or personal information. Marketing of other offers will require further consent.​

Categories of personal data

We potentially process the following categories of personal information about you (not necessarily all data, but just the data you provide to us): 

  • ​Common personal information: Name, gender, date of birth, bank details and contact details.
  • ​Special Categories: We record and store your answers to our questions in the consultations, including lifestyle, health and activity information. In special cases, and only after further consent, we collect and store genetic data.
  • As a patient in our Clinic, you will receive subscription to the DrHolmApp – read here which information we register when signing up at DrHolmApp.

Recipients or categories of receivers

We share your personal information with the following recipients:

  • Web developers: The information we register when you create a profile at DrHolmApp.com is hosted by our external web developer. When you sign up for our newsletter, your email address will be registered with our web developer. A data processing agreement has been made with our web developer, which is domiciled in Denmark. Data is stored in a professional hosting center within the EU.

  • We may also share aggregated information (information about our users that we combine together so that it no longer identifies or references an individual user) and other anonymized information for regulatory compliance, industry and market analysis, research, demographic profiling, marketing and advertising, and other business purposes.

  • Accounting firm: We share the necessary data with our accounting firm in order to invoice our services to you.

Storage of your personal information

Information collected in connection with registration for our Clinic is saved and stored for 10 years, which we are legally obliged to do. In addition, we store your information in connection with accounting, invoicing, auditing and the possibility of optimizing our services. We put much emphasis on protecting all data at all times as well as deleting information when they are no longer necessary to document the development of our activities.

Withdrawal of consent

You have the right to withdraw your consent at all times. You can do this by contacting us (contact details listed above).

If you withdraw your consent, it does not change the legal rights of our processing of your data based on an earlier consent given by you up to the day of withdrawal of your consent. If you withdraw your consent, it has only effect from the day of your withdrawal of your consent.

Your rights

According to the General Data Protection Regulation, you have a number of rights in relation to the processing of information about you.

  • Request the restriction of the processing of your personal data in specific cases.
  • Receive your personal data in a machine-readable format and send it to another controller (‘data portability’).
  • Request that decisions based on automated processing concerning you or significantly affecting you and based on your personal data are made by natural persons, not only by computers. You also have the right in this case to express your point of view and to contest the decision.
